I do 200+ mile races in heat that sometimes goes over 110F. Any colors will absorb more heat. Any thickness will retain heat. These shirts, in white, reflect the son extremely well, wick sweat away, are stretchy-comfortable. They stain easily. Liquid HE Tide doesn't get the stains out. I found that adding OxiClean will get all or most of the stains out. When I'm in the sun & heat though, I mostly don't care about looks so much as function. After comparing this product to many others, I bought four more. This is my main workout and racing shirt. Addition: All hooded shirts have the same problem where a headwind will blow the hood back, eventually. I bought a big pack of plastic snaps on Amazon and install one snap about 2 inches above the bottom of the hood opening, right under my chin.
