I’m no techie and got anxiety just looking at the back of my smart TV and yet I installed this with ease. I tried a few different locations around my mid-town apartment with channel reception ranging from 47-82 channels. Best reception was when I put it on the window. The only drawback is the visible wiring. Also, more than 2/3s of the channels I receive are Spanish-speaking. Hable español UPDATE! We bought this thin pad antenna hoping sticking it to the wall to get a steady signal. We use the blue tape to hold it temporarily at different location to see which place gets the best signal. Each time we move it to different location we have to re-run the "scan gor channel" which can take up to 30 min. But in the end we got all the channels we wants and dont have to worry about antenna got move around again. We put our one on a wall facing the window.
