Good for anyone, not for just a Spanish speaker, Asian language speaker, etc. My first student was Armenian, working in a kitchen making less than minimum wage. This is the language we need to be teaching foreigners from the start! It's not beginner English. It's survival English!! It's what they need to live in the US without being held hostage by their native tongue. Good for anyone, not for just a Spanish speaker, Asian language speaker, etc. My first student was Armenian, working in a kitchen making less than minimum wage. Once he began speaking in English vernacular, working conditions improved. That's a true testament to this book!

nice approach to contextual learning no doubt. I'm a 29-year-old native English speaker and a lot of the phrases are so old that I've never heard of them before. i think that really hurts the usefulness of this book, however i like the approach. so buy it and add a few or take a few phrases out and you are good.
