It's not. The frame, headboard and footboard are very sturdy. It did take ages to put together as there are a lot of metal bars. The slats are easy to put in, but then you have to insert a square clip to keep it in place. It should come with extra clips as they easily drop into the whole and you can't get them back out. We lost 2. In Argos, this bed costs Β£210, so I got a real bargain. Review: Weak metal - I bought this to replace my old bed which wasnt the best. I was really excited to finally get a pretty bed. It took ages to build, so when we FINALLY completed it, I sat on the bed and instantly the metal snapped making the supportive leg give way from the metal... In the photos you can see the gap in the metal where it has snapped. It is weak. I tried to get a replacement leg but the only thing it would offer is exchange it for something else, or return it for a refund. Well how can I return it when the packaging it came in was a flimsy cardboard box which had to be dismantled to get the frame out, rendering it useless, so I couldn't use that again. Such a shame as it is a lovely bed but the metal is VERY WEAK.
