It has a nice thickness. Smaller footprint than I expected, but that's on me because I didn't read the size. I bought this to use under my metal tea kettle. Half the time I lift the kettle, the trivet suction sticks to the underside. It's small enough that it can't be seen when it sticks. Once, I discovered it on my stove between the kettle and the burner.
