That was when I should have known to return them, but I liked them so much I figured I would just keep them and it wouldn't be an issue. I've had my ears stretched for a good 15 years to 00g and they were loose, but again, they stayed put for the most part so I wasn't overly concerned. I have never ever had any problem with any type of plug I've used - glass, plastic, wood, etc., but after two days of wearing these my ears were so sore I could barely touch them. My skin was an angry red and the swelling was unbearable. I couldn't put saddle plugs in because of the swelling, so I put my regular stainless steel screw ons back in and four days later my lobes are back to normal. I have already contacted Amazon, there is no way I'm paying for these, especially when I was lied to about the material. I'm so sad too because they were unbelievably pretty. Other reviewers mention they got glass, so I'm not sure why I received something different, but be warned. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful but poor quality control *by J***E on July 23, 2018* I received mine today. I had ordered the 9/16. Shipping was very fast, I love Prime. 😁 They are no doubt very beautiful, one of a kind and after testing with my caliper, the measurements are exact (14mm). However, one of my glass plugs is chipped and sharp, right at the flare. This is a very huge problem, disappointing and demonstrates poor quality control. Fortunately for me, I will only be wearing one of the plugs, due to my left ear being a 3/4. I am in the process of gauging both ears up to 1 1/2 inch, but my ears are stretching/growing at different speeds. This is the only reason I am not returning them. If I were someone else and/or wanting to wear both, I would return them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stick to 0g or up so you can see the details, lightweight *by A***L on February 27, 2018* Received these for my birthday and absolutely love them! I am at a 0g and it's just big enough to still have details of the jellyfish inside and specks of color here and there. They are lightweight and super comfortable. The back flair is wide enough to keep them in during every day activities, but small enough to push through when putting them on. I've only had them fall out when showering (the warm water stretching the lobe a little) and once when my hair got tangled and easily pulled it out.I wouldn't get any smaller than 0g because the details might disappear, but 0g is still good enough!
