We made the Maya 16 to carry a rain shell, lunch, first aid, water, and all the odd accessories you bring on warp-speed hikes, and to hug your body like a bear cub as you bounce from boulder to boulder.

Review: So comfortable - This is the second 16 liter Gregory pack I’ve purchased. This one fits as well as the first. I’m 5’4” longer body, no waist, not much in the hips. The hip belt is so comfortable, substantial enough to feel the weight of the pack is distributed well. The pockets on the hip belt is big enough for snacks, lip goop, probably big enough for a phone smaller than an iPhone 10. This pack does not have a second zip compartment which the one a few years ago had. I miss it. I may have the shoe repair guy sew in a tab with a D ring so I can hook a ditty bag. I would buy this again even without the second zip pocket because it’s so comfortable even when I cram it full
Review: Awesome Day Pack! - I used this 16-liter pack for a 9-day hiking trip in Iceland this month. I am a novice day hiker and was not looking forward to carrying around a pack everyday. But... The size was absolutely perfect, it was not large at all but still perfect for packing all my rain gear and an extra jacket every day. I could still add snacks and an extra shirt layer or base layer in case I needed them that day. Exterior storage pockets held my water, phone/camera, passport, chapstick, gater, etc and it was still comfortable. It adjusts in so many places and has great support straps for waist and chest. The large back straps can actually separate from the main pack by way of a very strong "velcroed frame" inserted in the main pack that you don't even realize is there. (so strong of an attachment, that it takes some effort to separate them) I found it by accident and was able to adjust the entire length of the pack; I'm very long in the body so it made the fit of the pack even more comfortable. Extremely well made. Great purchase!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good but not perfect

This is a good day pack for hiking. It’s only 16 liters and the side pockets for water bottles are a bit tight. If you’re looking for a small day pack it is perfect, but I was looking for something half the size and the fact the water bottle side pockets weren’t easy to use was the defining factor for returning it.
