Review: Buen color - I used this Chefmaster Coal Black Liqua-Gel food coloring for buttercream and cake batter, and it worked really well. The color is very concentrated, so you only need a few drops to start getting a deep shade without watering down the icing.  What I like most is that it doesn’t change the taste or texture of the frosting, which sometimes happens with other food colorings. The gel blends smoothly and gives a rich black color that looks great for decorating cakes and cookies.  Overall, this is a great option if you need a strong black color for baking or decorating. A little goes a long way, and the bottle lasts a long time.

A: No. You will need to use an oil based color to color chocolate.  This will cause your chocolate to seize. The Chefmaster candy color is what you need.

A: If you use it in store bough frosting you don’t taste it. If you use it in homemade frosting then you want to be careful on how much you use because you do start to taste it but I wanna say you have to put a lot for you to start to taste it.

This was the perfect red for my red velvet cake. It didn't change the flavor of the cake in the way the more watery coloring does. The size of the bottle is good. I dont make a lot of things requiring food coloring. It is very easy to use.
