    The comfort level and support in this shoe is amazing. But like tires with great grip ratings, lifetime must be sacrificed. These shoes fell apart after 2 months of medium use. The fabric started unraveling and large holes appeared, rendering the shoes useless. Rocks get stuck in the drain holes in the bottom and can become extremely uncomfortable. They don't dry out quickly like they are supposed to, and tends to wick up sweat and smell horrible after a few uses. I slip on wet concrete all the time where rubber bottom shoes perform well, and the tread on the bottom is completely gone already. These shoes were cheap, and i got what i paid for.

    These shoes have no wiggle room whatsoever. If you have toe nails of any length, cut them. Perhaps they will stretch more with use in water. I ordered a 12(M). I wear sizes between 11-1/2 to 12 depending on the shoe. It feels great on my feet. It provides support that regular swim shoes don't have. The only reason for the 4 star rating is the fit which is more on me than the shoe itself. If you have the opportunity, try these on at a store if you can find them.

    I bought these shoes to surf big wave breaks over dangerously sharp reefs.  It not only provided protection, but another bonus is little wax is needed to prevent slipping.  And finally, it helps prevent bending/cramping toes backwards when standing on the drop.  I would wrap each velcro strap with duct tape to prevent them from detaching.  Sounds crazy, but it works!
