## Description

Replica is an electronic song cycle based around audio procured from TV ad compilations. These sample-based meditations are as lyrical as they are ecological, featuring re-purposed “ghost vocals” which serve as narration for Lopatin’s signature amorphous, ambient passages. Lopatin’s Juno-60 is still prominent, but Returnal's placid, synthetic surroundings are accelerated through darker, more unpredictable terrains via Lopatin's use of samplers, analog filtering, tape-op, piano, plate reverb and sub-bass. The result is a heightened sense of music as part and parcel of an overall sonic terrain.

The music in this album is so good, I originally bought it for the title song Replica, but the whole album is sooo deep and rich with interesting synths. Andro is also a good one, if you like sounds that sound mechanical and dark this is a really good band. Please support the artist! Buy this CD.

About four years ago, I would smoke weed every night after work. I'd get out my bowl, put this on and just chill. Pure magic every time. Interesting, complex, and chill album that grows on me the more I listen to it. Highly recommended.

With every album I listen to from Oneohtrix Point Never my immense amount of respect for him continues to grow. As I'll say for all his work, it might not be for everyone, however if you can enjoy abstract musical compositions then this is a must have.
