Feels nice and weighted in the hand for a defense weapon. Comes with two ends to choose from, a blunt end, and a spike tip with a cord to keep it attached to your wrist. I leave this in my car now incase I'll need something to grab for when the time arises. Might be able to shatter glass with the point tip, not sure though. Feels fairly balanced and wieldy.1 star off because when you draw out the telescoping mechanism, it gets stuck like that and requires you to bang it on the floor to get it back into the handle. Very portable though and a nice cheap alternative to a baseball bat.

Received this item today, either it’s wrong or an incomplete set. 1) there’s no glass break spike included, so no lanyard for the wrist which is why I chose to pay a bit more for this particular item. 2) I’m unable to get the pole to release. Assuming but not thinking I’m too weak, I had my son try as well, he could’t get it to extend either. He is 6’1, 270lbs, so I eliminated that possibility. The handle has multiple indentions/marrs due to possible poor storage, I don’t know. Just know the whole thing was a bust for me. Shame because I really wanted this for daily walks on my neighborhood trails and have a ‘come to Jesus’ with the guy who’s been groping women ‘If’ need be. Seems like an effective deterrent if shipped correctly and in working order. This one is going back.

this is heavy and feel good when i grip this item. everything fit price and quality.

This little baton is currently sitting right next to my pillow, felt a lot more safe this way lol. Anyway, the baton is well built quality over all. It is a little bit hard to push it back on the carpet, but if you knock the top on a concert surface, it goes back like a good boy.

This pole can be used for a walking stick and even for self defense. I find it to be heavy, but that may be how all trekking poles are.
