What's not to like? Johnny Depp is wonderfully OTT as Captain Sparrow and the supporting cast gets better with every new film as it seems to become popular among A-listers to appear alongside Depp and Winslet in the films. Great family entertainment for a wet weekend. Definitely worth adding your DVD collection. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exciting , entertaining action adventure. *by S***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 January 2011* Having seen the first Pirates of The Carribean - The Curse of the Black Pearl, at the cinema, I was excited at the prospect of seeing all three in Blu ray DVD on my new panasonic home cinema theatre system. I was not disappointed! What a great adventure, the picture was pin sharp although the sound was poor but that was due to the fact I do not have an Amplifier to boost the blu ray signal - still, a little tweek & it was blasting out all 5 speakers. The second film, Dead Man's Chest , was again, full of gripping action - that is until the picture pixellated & froze. I immediately sent a Refund into Amazon ,who, without hesitation, sent out a new box set whilst I returned the faulty one. - the second dvd was faultless. The final film, World's End, I felt was a bit over elaborate & didn't watch all of it (hence the 4 /5 stars). An excellent box set full of action & thanks to Amazon, well worth the money.
