Should I soak the bottom half?** A: I soaked them in a bowl of water for a couple of hours before planting them. They're showing good growth a week later. **Q: which strawberries are best for hanging baskets ?** A: Strawberries aren't well suited to hanging baskets which will need constant watering and liquid tomato food. Difficult also to deter birds. **Q: Arrived slightly damp and a bit smelly. how do i know if they are viable? how long before they put out new growth in october?** A: Provided the Center crown has not rotted , the plants should show a green leaf starting to grow if not to cold. Make sure you do not plant them to deep and in 14 days you should see some growth. **Q: How long would you recommend soaking roots for?** A: I soak them for 2 days but I believe 24h are enough. I soak the plants for that long because I didn’t had time to plant them.
