Review: Cumbersome for carry-on, but survived being checked on return flight! - I purchased this bag as my fiancee's son got married across the country this past weekend. We went through a lot for my fiance's new suit (between the cost and many alterations), so I wasn't going to risk it (or my dress) getting ruined or lost, so flying out there this bag was a carry-on. Going through the airports, I had it on top of my rather small roller bag via the rear handle "strap" and it was great until I actually boarded the flight. This particular plane had narrower aisles, so I had to take the bag off of the roller bag which made it a little awkward to go down the aisle with my roller bag behind me and holding this bag in front of me. As my fiancee only had a small shoulder laptop bag, on the connecting flight he carried this on the plane instead while I managed my roller bag. It fit fine in the overhead compartments, and these were Southwest 737 Max 8's. On our return flights I checked the bag as I wasn't as worried about the suit as I was on our initial flights (as he likely wont need it again and because if it got lost the airline would have to reimburse us). But as some people complained about the plastic zippers, out of caution I did get some wire-shanked TSA locks and secured the zippers together. As the metal on the zippers isn't large enough, I wound the wire through an opening in the well-stitched nylon zipper pulls (with the clips on the end) but I "double-wrapped" it to make sure the zippers were held tightly together (if it only went through once there would be a wide gap due to the length of the lock wire). On the side where the top zipper goes across I was able to pull the wire through the end of the metal zipper pull as well, and that one I also wound through twice. I was skeptical that the bag would be able to make it through being tossed around by TSA and other bags being stacked on top of it, so to give it some extra stability I cable tied the handles together to help hold the bag together in case the top zipper started to give. This bag was the first of ours to come off the carousel at baggage claim and I was surprised it was in amazing shape. I was very very impressed. I don't know if/when I'll need to use this bag again, but I feel confident that it will hold up. But, I will use a velcro tie for the handles next time as the cut end of the cable tie dug into my hand (I apologize to the TSA baggage handlers in PHX, MDW and ORF!).

**Q: Is this wide enough for a floor length flexible dress and is it regulation carry-on size?**
A: A medium mans dress shirt can touch the bottom of the available space, a dress would need to be folded

**Q: can it hold a size 46 suit?**
A: That’s my size, I found that the bag is just a bit short where at the bottom of your suit may be a bit bunched up. But if you can live with it, my suit wasn’t wrinkly, it does what it says it does. I love and looking to purchase a a few for Christmas presents.

**Q: Does this bag have YKK zippers?**
A: Yes

**Q: Will this fit a 54r suit jacket?**
A: Yes, along with a few shirts.  You may have to fold the arms in.  My husband loves it.

I purchased this bag as my fiancee's son got married across the country this past weekend. We went through a lot for my fiance's new suit (between the cost and many alterations), so I wasn't going to risk it (or my dress) getting ruined or lost, so flying out there this bag was a carry-on. Going through the airports, I had it on top of my rather small roller bag via the rear handle "strap" and it was great until I actually boarded the flight. I loved using this bag for my two trips I took recently. I needed to bring a suit coat but wanted to travel with one bag and this came at the right time. The suit and other dress shirts/pants take up no room and stay nice and neat in the special pocket. The shoe compartment is also good to keep them separate from the rest of the clothes. Had no problem fitting everything in for a weeks worth of clothing. The only issues is the zipper quality isn’t quite as sturdy as I’d like and I didn’t like the smell it left on my clothes initially after pulling them out. Other than that this is a flex product and nice to have for a week long business trip.
