Lots of others don’t have the tines overlapping, so they just slide out of your hair. Lots of them have tiny sharp points on the ends of the tines, so they hurt your scalp. Lots of them have weak springs so the don’t grip tightly. And lots of them are too thin and brittle so the tines snap easily. These grips win on all those fronts. And they’re unusual and hard to buy colours. And the scalloped edges of the bits you squeeze elevate them to a dressy level if you want to wear them for an evening out.
