When it Works *by A***S on Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2019* Issues: Sometimes the Adapter doesn't show its connected, It happens randomly when the my MacBook goes into sleep mode. I would unplug the adapter and then plug it back in and it would still not give me video or connection notification. Only Solution that I finds works, is to power cycle the MacBook and then it would work again. Also the HDMI cable does make a difference, I have tested this with 4 different HDMI cables; a Sony cables, an HDMI Cable that come with my Nintendo Switch a MonoPrice cable and AmazonBasic Cable... All the cables worked except the Sony, its the same cable I ran with my XboxOne and I know it works but for some reason it would never work with this adapter.I've also tested my friends Apple official adapter and have found that I can't duplicate the issue so I am leaning more toward a fault in the adapter rather then blame it on the OS. The Adapter does work but I have to keep the MacBook from entering sleep mode, and it was cheap enough that I don't mind keeping it but the next time I need an adapter for this purpose of mirroring or extending a display to an external TV or Monitor I will choose a more reputable company like Cable Matters, Monoprice, or even AmazonBasics ### ⭐ Poor Quality *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on December 17, 2019* The price is a steal however this did not hold up for my Canon G7x. The ball joint became very loose just after a few uses and it will no longer hold my camera upright. It may work for stationary shooting if left on a surface, however I need something to use as a grip for on the go shooting. This just wasn't sturdy enough. I did have an issue with the ball joint not being stiff enough to hold a medium sized Halloween projector. I was able to open it up and add a layer of superglue to the ball socket.
