Review: Excellent belt for the money! Very comfortable and durable - I bought my first Thomas Bates belts back in 2018 and I still use them. They have held up very well and the latching mechanism is very easy to use and never uncouples. I just bought this version which has a slightly different latch, but it's also easy to use. I have a 32" waist and the belt can go up to 42". I used heavy duty scissors to cut off the excess and then used a lighter to burn the cut edge so it doesn't fray. Not sure if that is necessary, but it worked on the first two belts I bought 3.5 years ago. If you like reliability and simplistic operation this is the belt to buy. It's also very comfortable and not too wide for almost any belt loop. I have a diabetic pump and an iPhone 7 plus that I always clip to my belt/pants. No problem with those extra attachments, still a comfortable feel.

**Q: How do I shorten the length?**
A: Put the belt around your waist and note how much slack you would like trimmed off (opposite end of buckle). Remove belt and trim with a pair of scissors. You can singe the end with a lighter for a few seconds to avoid fraying.

I like these belts. They stay closed and hold well. This one lasted 2 years 8 months with regular use. The front of the plastic buckle pops off occasionally and it's easy to put it back on. But recently it started falling off a lot and won't stay on anymore. So if you feel that this is a fair price to pay for having it last that long, you'll like it.
