The BIOS told me the battery was at ~85% health yet my space bar was barely working and the middle of my keyboard appeared sunken in due to the two (out of four) outside battery cells were bulging considerably. Once I opened up my laptop, it was clear that those two battery cells were about twice as thick as they were supposed to be!Installing this battery was easily enough as long as you have a T-5 Torx screwdriver & a #0 Phillips screwdriver. Having a wedge (plastic credit card works) to pry up the bottom was very helpful. Ifixit has a nice step-by-step tutorial to follow for this laptop, I highly recommend it! Once I turned on the computer, all booted just fine. The battery was charged to ~65% and the Dell BIOS did not make any complaints about the battery at all. It takes a charge and holds a charge just fine (well, as fine as I can tell within a ~12 hour period).I'll update this review in the future if there are any issues, but so far it's good!Now I did have one problem, although it's not at all the battery's fault. While I had my laptop open, I decided to upgrade both the wireless NIC and the SSD at the same time. You can get Intel-based WiFi 6 (802.11ax) & Bluetooth 5.0 cards from Intel or Killer (search for model "AX200") for about $35 that are compatible with this laptop. Also, you can get an Intel 660P 1TB NVMe SSD for under $100 that is perfectly compatible (Macrium Reflect Free makes it easy to image, from within Windows, your current drive to the new SSD with the new drive in a "SHINESTAR M.2 NVME Enclosure USB C" enclosure). So all of these changes functionally worked just fine but kicked Windows out of activation and required a phone call to Microsoft to resolve the activation issue (I tried all of the tricks to rearm the activation but I needed Microsoft's intervention to fix the issue).All in all, I would recommend this battery with a slight hesitation simply based on how few reviews there are and how short of time I've had the battery. I definitely feel safer that my laptop won't burst into flames with the new battery, but it seems that I won't have a really good idea of how well the battery does for another month and then again for another 2 years. So I'm sharing what I can now. I bought this battery for my mom for her xps 9350, and when we replaced the original with this one, the laptop wouldnt recognize this battery as a useable power source despite many attempted work arounds in the bios. Maybe i just got a dud, as it sounds like that may be the case from other reviews.
