## Questions & Answers

**Q: If I was to use this tv with a normal Xbox one would it be any different than a normal tv ?**
A: I use mine for my PS4, it works fine but the sound is terrible. I got a soundbar connected to the PS4 using an optical audio cable. I assume Xbox 1 has that output as well? Not a lot of outputs on this monitor annoyingly.

**Q: Would this asus 32 inch curved monitor with 114hz work with a radeon rx480 graphics card? present monitor is only 60hz, would like to change. thanks**
A: It’ll work with that card, however if you’re gaming I can’t guarantee that you’ll always be playing games at that frame rate.

**Q: Does it have a hdmi port**
A: Yes it has 2 plus a display port.if your going to use it on a xbox one x there is an issue with white screen flash

**Q: Can you adjust the colour saturation via hdmi ?**
A: Yes

Great 4K gaming monitor for the Xbox One X

ASUS VP28UQG 28" 4K UHD 3840 x 2160 1ms Display Port HDMI Adaptive Sync FreeSync Eye Care Gaming Monitor

[This is quite a technical review, but those who need to know WILL know]I have bought this monitor mainly for gaming to go with the new Xbox One X, while having the option of using it as a TV using the Xbox One X as the video streaming device for DVs, Blu-Rays and broadcasts using a normal set-top box, and using my existing speaker system for the audio [this monitor has no built-in speakers though it has a 3.5mm headphones socket]. I need a relatively small screen as I game in the study, which has about a 3-foot viewing distance, and you can't get 4K TVs smaller than 42in or so, which would be massively too big for the space available...For general use:(1) The ASUS is highly recommended by those who have already used it.(2) it has HDCP 2.2, which is needed to be certain of showing 4k Blu-Ray disks ["normal" Blu-Ray disks only require HDCP 2.1, which is what 4K TVs have generally had until very recently]. I haven't tried this yet...In gaming terms:(1) it displays in 4K [obviously], which the Xbox One X can deliver natively for games and media that support it, as opposed to by upscaling from HD as per the Xbox One S or the PS4 Pro.(2) it allows AMD Freesync through the HDMI 2.0 input, which is the method that the Xbox One X will be using: freesync in my layman's terms is a method of handshaking which means that the monitor and the Xbox One X work out between them when to refresh the display - i.e. only when the Xbox One X is ready and not by force every 30th or 60th of a second, whether the next image is ready or not. This minimises stuttering [the same image is displayed for several refreshes, stopping the action, before jumping to the next available image having omitted several intervening images] and screen tearing [the screen is showing parts of two separate refreshes at once] by slowing down or speeding up each refresh as required. NOTE I say "will be using", as at the time of writing freesync is not yet enabled on the Xbox One X - expected Dec 2017.There are very other few monitors around with this combination of features and none that I am aware of at this price level, so I wanted to be sure that going for the cheap end hadn't compromised image quality [I say "cheap end" advisedly, as this 28in monitor is of course considerably more expensive than the equivalent-sized HD TV].My first impressions I am pleased to say are excellent - there are no stuck or defective pixels that I can see, and colour is vibrant without being "in your face". The monitor shows off both enhanced games [i.e. designed to display in 4k or enhanced to do so] and non-enhanced [i.e. designed for HD] very well, as well as Blu-Rays.I have two gripes: firstly the OSD is initially confusing, though easy to use once you understand it, and secondly this is exacerbated by the complete lack of a user manual - and at the time of writing there isn't one on the ASUS website. You also need to be aware - it is not a grip of mine as I was aware of the issue when I bought it but it doesn't affect me as I am the only user] - that as a TN panel the viewing angles are limited.

Perfect for gaming and use as a second screen

*by E***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 May 2018*

Bought this after MUCH research and fretting, and after a few months using it, I couldn't be happier with it.I use it for gaming on PS4, Xbox One X and occasionally Switch (I mainly use it in handheld), as well as a second 4k screen for my laptop when working. The 2 HDMI ports make it so much easier for me to just pick up and play (my old tv only had 1 HDMI slot), and games look great on it. Plus I can use the display port to plug in my laptop, which is a general bonus for getting a monitor over a TV (I previously also had to use HDMI and it was a real pain and messed up my display settings every time). The number of inputs/ports mean I don't have to get around the back of it every time I want to swap between devices.ALSO another good thing is it automatically turns itself on, and to the correct input when you turn on a device connected to it. That's as long as nothing else is switched on - it will keep the first one on as default, which is great if you accidentally switch something on. Just a handy little feature. It looks great, and 4K looks great on it. Yes there are fancier 4K screens out there, but if you have a smaller budget (or even if you don't), or want a small screen, this is great for the price and I honestly don't need anything else.

Overall great, though has some light bleed issues

*by E***D on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 November 2019*

I've owned three of these displays for the best part of 18 months, and on the whole they're really good value for money - especially compared to alternatives. Picture quality is fine and colour rendition is okay too. For gaming in 4K it's probably one of the best options at this price rage, due to its low input delay & HDMI 2.0 ports. The three I've got are mounted on a triple monitor arm via VESA. I'm fairly sure that's what has led my main issue with these screens; all three suffer from relatively bad light bleed along their perimeters. They were okay prior to installing them on the arms - and it took around 2 weeks before I started to notice the light bleeds. If you're planing to set one or more of these displays up on mounts, I'd suggest being very careful or not bothering at all. I'd imagine the internal frame isn't that well made and isn't taking the stress as well as it could. Though the bleed could be much worse, it's still quite irritating and really shouldn't be a problem even for this price range.Overall, I would say these are worth a shot if you want to upgrade to 4K without all the bells and whistles like high refresh rates or HDR. It's a basic well priced display that serves its purpose... as long as you don't mount them!
