Zipper on top is full length of bag, BUT the last 2+" of zipper at either end IS NOT ATTACHED to the bag allowing warm air in & cold air out. Zipper should be sewn on bag from one end to the other. Would you leave the lid on a Yeti cooler a 1/4 of the way open and expect the contents to not get warm or melt?! I often pack a large salad in Gladware, along with a separate container with my protein, and a third container with dressing. I also bring a couple pieces of fruit, and sometimes a fourth container with a couple eggs to make breakfast when I have a really long day. This bag held everything I wanted to bring for lunch. It looks great and wipes out nicely. I also purchased a 3-pack of gel freezer packs. I use one or two depending on how cold I want to keep my food. But my gel packs are still cool-to-cold at the end of the day when I get home from work.
