I wanted too hook it up to a smart eco powerstrip and have it automatically turn on when the main item turns on and turn off when the main item turns off.. however you cannot do that, because you have to push the button to get it to turn back on so there is not auto on like a hard switch would do. It does not come back on when the power is restored.
