Be aware that they are very oversized having been designed and tested in America where sizes are obviously a bit more generous. I am normally a size 40 inch to 42 inch waist, and initially ordered the 40 inch as they have an elasticated waistband. They were absolutely massive around the backside and thighs, and far too big and baggy. I returned them and got the size 38 inch waist. Instead, , however they were the same, and I finally found my size in these shorts to be a 36 inch waist, which fit perfectly. !!! The biggest problem I have is that they have very large buttons on the pockets, and one of the rear ones came off the first time I wore them and was lost. I contacted the seller asking for a replacement button,and offering to pay,,as there are none supplied with the shorts, and as they are brand-new and now have a missing button which is quite a distinctive style, they are basically rendered useless for future wearing in any smart setting.Sadly, all I got was a very brief reply which basically said sorry for your problem, but these don’t come with a spare button.Having found the correct size, I had bought two pairs of these shots from this company, and I am now left with one pair for which I cannot find a suitable replacement button. I have given three stars because I cannot fault the quality of the cotton, and I am trying to be fair in my assessment. But be aware that these very large buttons will catch on everything, especially getting in and out of a vehicle, and should you accidentally lose one, you’ll not be able to get a replacement, and the shorts will be suitable only for doing the gardening. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Great length *by L***Y on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 July 2023* Finally found a pair of 3/4 length shorts for my 6ft 2inch teenage son that actually come past his knees!
