While I've managed to switch everything, deodorant has been the ONE thing that has eluded me. I'll say it. I can certainly work up a terrible stink doing almost nothing. Even commercial deodorants never worked well for me (I'm definitely a Clinical Strength formula kind of girl). Aside from the nasty news about aluminum containing products, even sensitive skin formulas eventually caused painful cysts and ingrown hairs in my pits. At times, I could barely put my arms down from the pain/swelling. That said, I've likely tried EVERY SINGLE brand/type of naturally formulated deodorant on the market. I've spent upwards of $25 a pop on things that were either TOTALLY ineffective (I'm looking at you, TOM's) or kept the stink at bay, but left my armpits itchy, burning, scabbed, and darkened. I've literally peeled sheets of blackened, papery skin from my pits (I have dark skin, so any kind of hyper-pigmentation is a real issue). I've even made my own, with somewhat effective, but highly irritating results. I've since found that I am extremely sensitive to baking soda, which is really the odor eliminating component in most of those formulas. Goes on easy, not sticky,dries fairly quickly, and has a nice scent that lasts about 12 hours. The scent is powdery floral..pleasant and not over powering. It did not irritate my skin. The reason I gave it only four stars is that for the price, you get more packaging than product.
