Most of these are pretty easy to break off if someone wants to. Just check out YouTube videos. I bought this lock set to discourage people from walking off with the receiver hitch mount when the boat isn't attached.The lock is certainly easy to install and remove. The locks are keyed the same and with this double set you have 4 keys so you have plenty of spares. My hitch is the 2" square mount and the locking bar has a safety pin that goes through the bar just in case the lock comes off for any reason, to keep the bar in place. There are 2 holes for the pin with O-rings to keep the pin from shifting during travel. The lock has a rubber cap to keep out dirt and water. The lock, once unlocked, doesn't require the key to lock, just push in the lock button.My boat trailer safety chains are fairly thick and when the lock is installed it's difficult to put the chains through the hole on the lock side of the receiver. It took a couple of times to get used to it and now it's not bad at all. That's not true for the chains and hooks for my Airstream travel trailer. The chains on that are really stout and the hooks are large. It is next to impossible to get them through the hole in the hitch because the lock head is in the way. You have to put the chain in before installing the lock.Overall I'm pleased, but I've seen the videos where it takes only moments to break the lock.
