Clay can be drying to your hair and scalp, and a conditioner can help to restore moisture and hydration. We would also recommend using the Fatima's Garden Argan Oil to moisturize the drying scalp after the clay. As for the conditioner, we don't really have a favorite one, maybe you can browse for a good rated one on Amazon. I would like to begin by thanking you for your interest and your question. to answer your question, Yes you can use it as shampoo and conditioner, You’ll just need: - 2 full teaspoons of the rhassoul clay (that's enough for long fine hair) - Enough water to make it into a watery paste (preferably warm water) (if you have some flower water, it could be a nice addition to the mix, but not necessary). Rhassoul will turn into clay when mixed with water. It can form blobs of clay – use the teaspoon or your fingers to even it out. It's super easy to make, no hassle at all. It’s best to use a plastic bowl for this, metal is not recommended and others may break in the shower. you need a LOT more clay than your normal shampoo, it needs to cover your hair almost completely, or it won’t do anything at all. Two teaspoons should be enough, but thick-haired people may need more and you should wash it out thoroughly. You could add some argan oil into the mixture. Rub it in your hair (try to get it everywhere) for a few minutes, and it works best if you can leave it in for at least 5 minutes (15min max) (just don’t let it dry anywhere on your body). Nothing is added to it. if you check our brand store, you will notice that we specialize in pure ingredients mainly, then add some variations for people who like a different flavor. So we provide the Pure Rhassoul Clay, then we have the version where we added some argan oil, Eucalyptus and other herbs. We did the same for Argan oil, and our black soaps as well. We never use color additives, preservatives, parabens, GMO, etc., we respect the human body too much to do this... Our rose water, for example, have a shorter shelf life, because we don't use no preservatives... When we could make it "better" with preservatives, but we chose not to. Almost all of them were only part Rhassoul, with the rest being bentonite. Well, the bentonite seriously dried my hair, so I went on a hunt for PURE Rhassoul clay and here I have found it. You can tell its real Rhassoul first by the color. It has a reddish tinge to it. Bentonite is just gray. Second, its more fine then Bentonite and lastly it rinses out and detangles hair at the same time- at least it does for me. Love this product. This clay, when mixed with apple cider vinegar and olive oil, leaves my hair feeling moisturized and easily detangled. I apply the mix to my damp hair and scalp in sections. Then thoroughly rinse and finger detangle each section (I like to bantu knot each rinsed section). My hair feels moisturized and clean and my curls defined. It may seem counterintuitive putting clay (or mud, as my husband calls it) in your hair, but the results are amazing.
