If you, like me, hate the squeaks and cracks of Prang and Crayola then splurge a little.I've used Hagoromo chalk for many years. I was told that the company shut down and stopped producing new chalk. For a while the price had skyrocketed but this was closer to the old price. I don't know if they changed their minds or if they sold the name to another company or if there's another explanation. I can say that this chalk is at least a good approximation of what I'd used for years. It is noticeably different and, in my opinion, markedly worse but it's still excellent chalk.Also, for what it's worth, my box didn't have any broken pieces. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ OK -- I won't insist that we change our chalkboards to whiteboards *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on September 20, 2017* I just taught my first calculus class using Hagoromo chalk and it was a dream.
