It doesn't make my hair crispy, and takes away the orange nicely. Here's a photo of a 613 wig and one I rinsed with the purple shampoo. If you put a lot of the shampoo on the hair it will go silver, but make sure you make it even coverage and rinse well or you can end up with some strands toned more than the other pieces. Plus, smell is nice and not chemically like some other popular one.
