We used all 6 packs on my head. That could be why it’s slightly heavy but nothing like box braids. The length reaches almost to my waist but not quite and I am 5’7”. The red color is vibrant at the ends and mellow throughout. I love it thus far. I also ordered the blonde/brown. Probably will be ordering more so I can have a stash on-hand as this hair is more expensive in the store. I thought 6 packs would be enough but it seems like I'll need to use double. I don't know if I should start my hair or not because I don't want to run out of hair and this is not something I can find in my local beauty supply store that's why I ordered online. For me, it was some of the better quality hair I’ve purchased on Amazon. Only a couple of issues I had. I didn’t realize that the hair wasn’t pre-looped. That’s not the hair’s fault though I just didn’t read the description properly. Not having the hair pre-looped led to a much longer instal and a difficult take down as well. When I installed I had to retaliate the hair on sections where I did individual braids around my perimeter for a more realistic look. There was a certain way you had the twist the hair to have it wrap around itself. Taking the hair down was difficult as well. Other than that the hair was soft and in good condition even when I took it down. The photo with my son is my first day with the hair in and the photo with the helmet is the day I took it down. If you look at the ends you will see there are no tangles or frizz at ALL.
