Literally roll out and open and let it sit for like 2 days to get back its original thickness. I love the idea of these beds. Although they are not completely water proof. The seams are made from regular material thats not "water resistant". Also the bottom of these are not the same material as the tops or sides. Leaving it vulnerable to any messes or spills that may happen and seep into the inside. I probably didn't read the description good enough to realize the mattress wasn't completely vinyl and neither were the seams. All in all its a great design and good comfort for my toddlers and seems to be pretty durable for them.
