I highly recommend it. It outlines the story of a poor and humble Polish Nun and how she became the Apostle of Mercy to Jesus and is an outstanding Saint. I have been glued to this book and have changed my attitude towards my everyday life and how i reflect this on everyone I meet; on how I treat my neigbours. I have come to know that life is not just being a 'good' me but it's all about how I go about helping those in need, but in particular those that are sick, the lonely, the dying, those that have lost faith, those that are confused and hurting and suffering.This book is not only about the life and Visions of Saint Faustina - this book is also a tool on how to get close to Jesus and receive his graces and Mercy by practising the examples of the Polish Saint - that is, to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. I have the smaller pamphlet which is excellent and explains the history, has the chaplet, novena, and additional prayers. I bought the Diary and have to admit I had a difficult time understanding it because St. Faustina wrote each day her thoughts and the things that Jesus told her; I gave up. When I saw this book, I loved the layout and it is a year's worth of quotes from the Diary plus each month has a theme. It explains the Diary and I can make sense of it. I am finally understanding and getting much more out of the Diary thanks to this very well written book. I highly recommend this for anyone who is thinking of reading the Diary but isn't a theologian.
