I love this thing. It's not great for frying, though, as its heat is concentrated in a circular pattern following the heating element. It is 800 watts, but one must remember that that only applies when it calls for heat. In my case that is only about 10% of the time, which puts a 10 hour simmer at about 0.8 KWH @ 124VAC (or 0.4 KWH on your utilie's meter). A very cheap date **Q: - What are the dimensions of this item?** A: The pan itself is 8x8. With the handles you can add about 3 inches. 2 inches deep. I love this little pan. It works great for cooking for 2 people. I have used it for everything from scrambled eggs to small pot roast. Great for all. **Q: Can you cook a full box of macaroni or those dinner in a bags??** A: Thank you for your question. The ES-08 is a small fry pan. It would be too small to boil the water needed for macaroni or a dinner in a bag. There is a larger model, ES-12 that would work better for the quantity you need. **Q: is this all one piece or does the skillet detach?** A: Thank you for you question. The skillet with the legs are one piece once assembled.
