The lid is low density polyethylene (LDPE) which does not use BPA, but the insert in the lid is Acrylonitrile Styrene (AS). Its has a recycling code so I would assume it is BPA free as it is a requirement to carry this code. The insert does not really touch the food only splashes etc. The base with the blades has a silicone seal and the surrounding plastic is polypropylene (PP) again this will be BPA free as it is not used in these plastics. Hope this helps, I am a Chemistry graduate who works in QA in the packaging industry so its serendipitous this question came up.
