For the price it is a serviceable vest that should last at least a season or two. Yes the "D" rings and the zippers are plastic, but if you want a vest with metal hardware you'll have to pay 3 or 4 times as much, and such things are fairly easy to replace if necessary. It's lightweight and comfortable. I bought a XXX - large, a size up from my usual, so I can wear it over a few layers if it's cold. Over just a shirt it's light and air circulates freely.
