These are gapped at .059 which would take too much bending to gap it down. NGK says not to change gap more than .008. NGK TR6ix would work better with preset gap at .039 **Q: The NGK TR55IX plugs do not fit a 2002 Tahoe, 5.3l flexfuel. Must use the TR5IX. Too many places including parts stores are selling the wrong plug.** A: I don’t know why you think the TR55IX won’t work, just a slightly cooler plug than the TR5IX. In a lot of climates, it would probably help more than hurt. **Q: What is the gap preset on this plug?** A: Hi, Set of 8 TR55IX NGK Iridium IX plugs Gap: 1.5mm Heat: "5" Seat: taper NOTE: these are very similar to TR5IX, the difference is: TR5IX have 1.0mm gap and TR55IX have 1.5mm gap. They are the same heat rating, length, etc. NOT SUITABLE FOR Ford TS50 with alloy heads.
