They typically are on a porch or something similar. This one is on the porch, and it gets hit occasionally by the elements. We wanted a cover to stop dust from going inside the drum as well as to stick the plug when not in use. The cover went on quickly and is super easy to unzip when in use. I honestly only unzip one side of the top to get the plug set the dial and then the other side I push to start.My only issue is the sewing isn’t the best on the inside.
