I could only be happier if this bag were real leather, but then it wouldn't be the best little bargain bag on Amazon.Everything is stitched nicely, no glue, and reinforced where it needs to be. The stitching is straight and even. All of the finishing is done well, it has the appearance of a much more expensive bag. It has no detectable odor.It's lightweight and holds my basics, you'll need your small wallet if you carry more than just that and a phone and some miscellaneous items, I can get an inhaler and a small (full) cosmetic bag to fit easily, as well as my Kindle Fire. There's not really room for an umbrella or a water bottle but I intentionally wanted something this size. It is structured so that it keeps its shape but has some give if you need to stuff it full.The strap adjusts easily making this a full crossbody or a shoulder bag, and the handle makes it just perfect, a little feminine briefcase-style satchel. The straps do not detach. Zippers are smooth enough. The closure requires two hands so no one is going to swipe the contents without your noticing. The bag design is balanced well so that the flap stays closed, even if not buckled, while you're carrying it by the strap.
