My knee has been injured in a car accident and several times snowboarding. I am a very active person, running half marathons, training in boot camps and kick boxing. If I landed wrong, my knee would "wobble", sliding laterally and becoming re-injured. I have tried 4-5 other knee braces, most of which are the compression style. I have IT band and other tendon issues, and the compression style braces caused more friction on my tendons and would aggravate my injury more.This brace has been great. It is super-durable and strong, and very comfortable. I have been able to use it for all my different styles of working out, and it doesn't slow me down. I did notice that over my longer runs it altered my stride a bit, but I was also nursing the weaker knee.My knee is better, but I always keep this brace around for all my kickboxing or any other lateral-movement training that might compromise my knee. A good investment!The only down side has been that the way the velcro rests on my thigh, it rubs a hole in the opposite leg of my pants during my longer runs. I don't think this would be a problem under normal use.

My son is trying to get used to them as he has never worn knee braces before. He says they make his legs extra warm in the weather. As for the function of them he says they do not hamper his movement and as time is going on he is complaining less about the heat. One fear I had was them slipping down his leg and to this point that has not been an issue.

The brace mechanism was fine. The Velcro straps were a neoprene-type Velcro that was way too wide and extremely hot because of the covered surface area of the straps.

Good brace, works well and gives my son more confidence, so he plays harder without worry. He's 6'2" 225 only issue is the brace does tend to slip on longer plays.

It has given me confidence to hopefully avoid another dislocation. I do wish it was made for just the right leg or left if that is your problem leg and the cuffs were contoured to better fit a ladies leg. You wind up with a lot of extra cuff on the calf and verily enough to cover the Velcro on the thigh cuff.

Puzzled .. wanted a brace with some lateral protection + with some freedom. But the hinge doesn't run deep in the bands ... just about an inch. So it doesn't do much to keep the leg straight. i get the same lateral movement than without it ... so what 's the point ? they say protection from blow ... i have to assume simply because the person would hit the hinge. Not because it limits how much movement your knee is allowed to move laterally.

Perfect fit, I wanted one of these to help support with my knee and its amazing.

Item built exactly for what i needed it for, knee protection during football. BUT it is WAY TOO BIG... The size chart couldn't be more wrong. Puchased for my son which going by the chart should've fit but this was for someone at least 6'4". I'm a little over 6' myself & they were way too big on me
