A: Why would there be a difference?  The mist may only put a finer spray on than a splash on which then would make it smell stronger

A: It could have originally been adequate in America but now is being outsourced to Mexico or the bottle itself could be m ade in Mexico while the product was made is U. S. It's most likely the former.
