It comes with a self adhesive template for cable hole and mounting holes. It might work on a flat surface but not rough reconstituted stone. I drilled the main hole for the power cable, lined up the box and marked one hole. Did the rest by measurement.Do a dry assembly first. You can stow all the cables in the box and see how it fits over the back plate. The back plate has a rubber deal and a number of pre cut holes and plugs. I only need the one for power. You can force the plug through the small hole. Put the plugs in the rest. Fasten the back plate the wall black seal facing out. This is the easy bit.Feed all the cables through the box front seal, it is pre cut, screw the camera to the box face plate, secure all the cables using the cable tidy. Now check the power to the camera. Now comes the tricky bit.The camera and box are heavy. Fit box over the mounting plate and ensure it lies flush. It is a snug fit but not right about to hold the camera. Hold the camera with one hand and insert the smaller hex headed screw with the other. Holding camera and screw in place carefully tighten the screw. BEFORE YOU DO THIS, make sure your screw driver will fit the deep socket.Fasten the other three screws and job done.
