They replied with a vague answer immediately, but it was so vague I had no idea what to do. It took me 12 more DAYS to get a reply from the company to resolve this issue, and the reply made me feel like I was dumb for not know it. They also closed a second ticket with no reply and closed the first one when they decided it was fixed.So just pray you don't have to contact their support department. ### ⭐⭐ Cheap but just-OK Scanner - No RS232 as claimed *by V***L on Reviewed in the United States on February 8, 2010* These barcode scanners are inexpensive and easy to use, but seem to take a bit longer to read high-quality barcodes than I would expect. Beware of the company's product page which claims RS-232 communication capability, which it does not have. Also, documentation (online and included) is very poor, and customer service is terrible -- it took 9 days for their helpdesk to respond initially and we're at day 12 or so (21 total) waiting on response number 2.If you want a scanner for simple keyboard emulation and using high-quality codes, this is a cheap alternative. For anything else including features listed on their site (or customer service of any kind), look elsewhere. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not the best, but for the price you will be happy! *by A***N on Reviewed in the United States on August 28, 2014* These tend to randomly go bad after a year or more. This would not be my first choice in a barcode scanner, but my work uses them so I buy them. They do work good until they croak.
