It replaced a Sylvania led that took over a second to light, which annoyed the hell out of me. So after the good experience with TCP I ordered another one. This one was again slow to turn on, around half a second. Turns out the first one I bought was dimmable, the second wasn't. So I suggest you buy dimmable ones even for non-dimming applications to get quick turn on. The dimmable version seems to have better electronics.This is also the only led bulb I know that's not overly bulky and heavy with giant aluminum fins.The lens tends to fall off after a few months, but it's easy to pop back on.
