I use the gloves to paddle in an outrigger and a dragon boat. I like the tactile feel of the handles of my rowng erg. I have much more control. Thanks **Q: Are these machine washable? If not - how should you clean them?** A: Yes, they are definitely washable in your washing machine. Just wash them with the darks, using cold water. DO NOT machine dry these gloves. Instead, put them up to dry by placing the glove over an object, such a soda can or water bottle, fingers up, and let them air dry. Takes a few hours but the result is worth it. The kept my hands warm, the parts that were covered, and the padding was perfect. I don't remember feeling any discomfort at all while I had them on. They fit well and the grip was good too. They are not hot, nor heavy, and the grip on the handle is superb.My hands are large and finding gloves of any type that fit any type is a gamble, but these in XL fit perfectly and seem to fit better all the time.
