Miller Shingle #1 18” RR (rebutted and rejointed) Natural Grooved (striated or combed on one side) Sidewall Shingles are manufactured from the highest grade #1 18” kiln dried shingles. These shingles are specifically designed for sidewall application and come in varying widths. Each 1 square carton covers 100 sq ft at the maximum recommended 14” double-coursed (under-course required) exposure and covers 57 square feet at the maximum recommended 8” single-course exposure.

Very well packaged/boxed, well-made with perfectly uniform edges and sides - and grooves that matched my 60-year old home's original shingles perfectly. Once new paint is applied, I don't expect you'll be able to notice the placed we patched. Love, love, LOVE this product. BTW, the online price is not cheap, but still 30-35% less than the price of the same shingles (maybe the same?) available locally. So happy to have purchased....they were a joy to work with.

**Q: if you paint the primed shingles is Theresa way to protect it from weather and sun damage?**
A: I painted mine as soon as the contractor finished putting them on.  That was over 2 years ago and they are fine.  One side gets the harsh afternoon Sun and it has not faded.

**Q: Are they primed grey or white?**
A: They can be purchased primed in either white or grey. I purchased grey and was very pleased. The shade is not too dark and appears to be a heavy and durable primer coat.

**Q: Why is my order of these shingles shipping from poland when usa mill sources is in washington state?**
A: Greetings, we do not ship from Poland, that would both be expensive and inefficient, so I am not sure where this perception has stemmed from.  If you would like to contact us directly and provide an order-id, we can provide more specific details including a UPS tracking-id that will originate from Granite Falls, WA. **Q: I am unclear about coverage. 14" exposure requires a double course. Will a box complete 1 or 2 courses of 100 sqft area at 14" exposure?**
A: A box will cover 50 sq feet with 7" exposure.
So 1 box will do 100 sq feet with 14" exposure.

These grooved cedar shingles were amazing! Very well packaged/boxed, well-made with perfectly uniform edges and sides - and grooves that matched my 60-year old home's original shingles perfectly. These shingles were a perfect match for 72 year old (1953) existing siding. They covered an old windows opening during a remodel. Once painted, it's hard to see them from the original.
