Describes my life to a T... Great to Watch...
I disagree with the review of went downhill from season one, this show is amazing to me. This show describes a lot that goes on during the trials of dealing with cancer. I have lost all of my family to this disease and different people handle it different ways. Her moods played so great with the ups and downs of having/not having/back to having cancer. And to share some humor with this just really made my day watching. Cause I remember losing aunts and uncles, mom, everyone is gone, siblings, even a very young nephew all to cancer, Some people stay strong thru and thru and some make humor of it and some of the ones like me just did whatever it takes to make the one really suffering have a laugh or two...shed tears, This story was so close to home for me and I totally Loved it... every single episode right down to the gay brother, as I also have the brother as well... so on that I would recommend anyone dealing with the Big C to watch this its really a great story in general. Love it love it love it....The pic I added was my nephew Christopher Wilson died age 26 leaving behind 3 small babies, his humor and making his kids laugh lasted til the day he left.... love and miss him...

Rusty Bumper Cars of Emotion
If you are a fan of the Big C like I am then you will appreciate this season. However, if you are not a die hard fan of this series I don't recommend it. Very quick watch though, finished the whole season on a Thursday night after work, partly because I just kept waiting for something phenomenal to happen.Other seasons were emotional roller coasters full of highs and lows; this felt more like rusty bumper cars that as soon as you get the hang of the handicap steering wheel the ride is over and that few seconds of triumph you had is now long gone. But, like I said before if you have followed Cathy's awkward struggle and fell in love with Sean and Andrea as the heroic supporting characters then you should watch this season. Just don't suggest to your virgin Big C fans that they start with this season.Lastly, you go Laura Linney, you are for sure a bad bitch!

The Big C Season 3
If you're like me and don't get cable and enjoyed the first two seasons and hate watching streaming TV shows on your PC, of course you will want to spring for this. Yes, it's a little pricey for 10 episodes but still worth it for fans. This being a MOD offering, the discs themselves have basic white labels with text in black (similar to the BRIDGET LOVES BERNIE or CHARLIE'S ANGELS Season Five set from Sony). The menus are VERY generic and do not feature any photos or thumbnails from the show; just a boring background with episode titles for selection. There is a PLAY ALL feature but NO chapter stops within the episodes themselves, nor any close-captioning for the hearing-impaired.

Season three starts out somewhat weakly
I'm limiting the number of episodes at a time to make the fun last longer so the wait won't be so long before the final season (which season four is suggested to be) is available for sale to people without Showtime channel on their cable plan. I bought the first two seasons at Big Buy and, for a cancer survivor who is now dealing with secondary cancer, and went through the death of his spouse to cancer as he was caregiver, they presented episode ideas that really dealt time after time with the unique outlook, problems and challenges of families facing "The Big C." Season three seems to be falling back to what the overwhelming percentage of other comedies think is funny...profanity, confrontations with homosexuality and the sex industry, and even suggestions of political commentary. Outside of the support group, these are not elements of life that are more specific mostly for cancer patients and their families, but seem to be trying to foist opinions on the audience of viewers. So far I am more than a little disappointed.

Worth Watching
Seasons 1 & 2 were a hard act to follow and season 3 is good but not as good. As many series often start far reaching for more story so does this one. Cathy and Sean remain the most interesting characters while the rest go off in weird directions. I really like Susan Sarandon but not her role. Adam explores a god group and it is just not fitting for his character. If you got hooked and the first two seasons of course you have to see it through to the seasons end so still worth the watch.

Buen producto es lo que esperaba. Tomar en cuenta que no viene subtitulado y es región 1

Wonderful
The whole concept of finding a story about cancer entertaining seems unlikely or bizare, BUT this is quality and great. Terrific story lines, incredible acting and just a true heart warming and pacy series. Really enjoyable

Disappointing
Loved series 1, enjoyed series 2 ... series 3 I found boring & uneventful until the halfway point when it once again picked up and kept me watching. Is it the last in the series? I think it's time to leave the audience to come up with their own ending and move on! Too much of a good thing stops being good!

Great series
I really liked this series as it is very true to life and very we'll acted throughout. It was funny and very sad but also uplifting at times. All the characters are great, especially her brother and her son.i would definitely recommend this series as it tackles a great subject and deals with it very we'll and also talk about a lot of other interesting stuff such as religion faith life after death etc.... But leave it open for you to make up your mind
