Thick and big enough for standard ironing board. I even put this cover on top of the previous one to keep the metal top of ironing board flat without metal ridges.  The elastic band makes it very easy to install.  Great quality; Great Price.  You will need to iron the cover when it is installed to flatten it out and to adjust the elastic band on your board.

Nice cover for the ironing board...I like the color and pattern.  Fits fine and so far works fine too.  I have only used it a couple times so time will tell regarding durability.
