On the previous one the rubber seal around the outer edge split and I could not find the right rubber edging to replace it myself. I found this mirror and it looked to be almost an exact match and upon arrival it was.Replacement was very simple as the mounting on this mirror was an exact fit to replace the previous mirror. Of course you have to dial in the tightness using the bolt but this was the same with the previous mirror as well. Once in place this new mirror has stayed put in the positions I've placed it in with no issues. It's also large enough to provide a great view behind the boat.The only caveat is I noticed the rubber trim on the outside can be removed very easily (not glued in place or held by other means) so if someone in the boat just rubs up against it the trim will roll to one side or the other, depending on the rub direction. This is not a show stopper or a reason to take off any stars, just something to be aware of.
