I typically wear an extra large in street clothes. I'm 5'10", and I could probably get away with a large if it weren't for an extra 30 pounds around the middle, but XL typically fits me very well. Because cycling jersey's usually run tight, I got an XXL in this, which was a mistake. It actually fits fine through the shoulders; not skin tight like most cycling jerseys, but comfortable, which I like. And the XXL actually accommodated my beer gut without making me look like the Michelin Man. But the problem with going up a size is the length; to accommodate taller riders, the tail is too long for a regular XL wearer. The shirt tail goes to the bottom of my butt, and, when you put anything in the rear pockets, they hang off your backside. That said, the jersey is excellent. Great weight, good quality, I like the 1/2 style, the cut is not too tight. I'll order an XL, and am looking forward to getting it.
