We use this to feed her , carry her , she sleeps and lives on it, makes you feel secure and comfortable carrying a little babyI call it “placek” because it looks like placek polish for pancake lol , we love it, looks like nothing but it’s a really good idea and well made product, washing is easy because it has removable cover, great product

I never write reviews because I don’t care enough about most things to take the time.But, I LOVE this for the newborn phase!perfect for hanging off a sleepy baby, or laying them down once they’re already asleep. This product gave me a break from a clingy baby, so I could rejuvenate and give someone else the chance to hold them. And, it’s so cozy and well-made, which is rare in the baby world.Wish I had this with my first baby! I recommend it to all my friends!

I have nothing negative to say about the product itself. The design is great and the material is soft, yet durable, no funky factory smells. I've seen it work wonders with my friend's twins and other babies, but it hasn't made much of a difference for me or my sonshine. With that being said, I can tell this company runs on love and integrity and professionalism.

I would recommend to anyone who has a baby that wakes up whenever you try to lay them down. The first few nights with my newborn were tough:; he would wake up as soon as I laid him in pack n play. I was originally looking for a baby lounger that would double as a mattress for the bassinet insert and I'm so glad I found this.he hardly wakes while being placed in bed. It makes breast feeding easier. Transferring baby to bed, swing, play gym, husbands arms etc. It helps me carry him around the house and creates a soft surface wherever you need one. It seems expensive for just being a small oval mattress but it has held up to every other day washing and makes mom life a little easier. For that I would have paid anything!

Did not like using this to carry my baby around in. I ended up using it as a pad in the bassinet and that worked well for me. Baby out grew it in about 6 weeks. Seems a bit pricey for the use I got out of it.

I was surprised how useful this little pad is. We call it the 'topper' around the house and we don't leave home without it! The topper made breastfeeding positions and handling the baby so much easier. As a first time breastfeeding mom, half the struggle is positioning your sometimes wriggling newborn. The topper allowed me to bring the baby close and change angles and positions very easily. I actually attribute my success in breastfeeding (in part) to this topper. Besides this, we just loved making the baby cozy in the topper without swaddling him - which we did not want to swaddle him. This was a great alternative. I have even wrapped a blanket around it to make it like a swaddle. Its just a really nice, easy and simple was to handle a newborn.

When I opened this, I thought it was some kind of joke. It is a pad with no padding. I thought maybe we need to let it expand, but 3 days later, it is still flat. I am returning this. Do not waste your time. It is cheap and terrible.

As a grandmother to a new grandson I was reading-up on the Montessori method of child care. The Topponcino was mentioned several times so I decided to get it as a gift for my daughter. Almost immediately she found it a great help to hold the newborn especially during the night and it was a huge help for my son-in-law to be more comfortable holding the baby, protecting his neck etc. I just wish I got it before the baby was born to allow her 'scent' to get in it more. GREAT Hit and great gift for a new mom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having our first daughter now, I am very glad that I bought this. At first I had some doubts that this is just some money making scheme for the Montessori cult, but nope, this is actually incredibly useful.Picking up the fragile newborn is so much easier with this thing and our daughter, now 2 weeks old, really seems to remember this surface, so when we put her down anywhere in the house, she just continues sleeping.When I go for a morning walk for sunbathing, I don't even bother to bring a stroller. She usually still sleeps at 7am, I just pick her up, walk to the park and she continues to sleep and smile the entire time.The thing is so good, even our confinement nanny asked where I got it from as she seems to want to make it part of her usual toolchain when she visits her next clients after us.Just be aware: Babies spit a lot, so even if you wrap the thing in spitting towels, the cover will still get wet and stained, so I would recommend to buy two or three extra covers so you always have one while others are in the washing machine.

Every newborn should have one of these! Absolute lifesaver when it comes to handing and comforting a baby. My 3 week old daughter loves being held in her topponchino and it makes it so much easier for us to handle her and let her sleep in different parts of the house without waking her.One thing to note is that the care instructions state that the insert should not be washed, but I’ve machine washed and dried it a number of times already and it holds up just fine. It’s not practical to just spot clean it - newborns are messy!I’ve ordered a second one too. One will probably not be enough especially if you use it through out the day and not just at night.I cannot recommend this product enough… it’s pricy but totally worth it!
