The pot looked and felt high quality out of the box, it is very sturdy! The polished finish is excellent, The bottom of the pot is very thick, unlike some others that are quite thin. I used this pot to make a stew, the stew remained hot for a long time after turning the cooker off. Food did not get burned at the bottom of the pot because of the thick bottom - with a thinner bottom pot, this happened often with me. The glass lid is very good and is very strong and well made. The pot came with a ladle and this is also well made! Guaranteed for 6 years as well - I think that it will last for a lot longer than that, as the construction, look and feel of the pot is outstanding. I am glad I bought this, I would recommend this and I am going to buy another one of a slightly smaller size. Cleaning the pot is so easy, no need to scrub the pot hard, I just used a light sponge and then only the smooth side, absolutely fantastic!
