The REMOKING Take Apart Fire Engine is a great choice! My son loves to fix the wheels when they fall off (and they do fall off a lot) by using the screwdriver tool to re-tighten the wheel. It's great that they included an extra bit with the tool because my son lost the first bit right away. I didn't give him the power drill because his hands are too small and he doesn't know how to use the drill yet. The screwdriver is easier to use. The fire engine also comes with 4 little firemen. They are a nice touch but I wish there was a way to secure them on top of the truck when they're not sitting in the cab. The screws are nice and well made and do a good job of holding the fire engine together. Again they give you extra screws in case you lose some along the way. My son can't put the whole truck together by himself yet, but he loves to watch me take it apart and put it together again (it can be done in 2 minutes). It's too bad there's no ladder for the firemen to climb on, but I managed to find one from a LEGO set that I could sort of tuck on top of the truck. I'm not sure about the durability because the plastic shell is a little flimsy, especially the top cover lid, but it hasn't broken off or fallen apart yet but it's likely to crack if my son started to throw it around. The fire engine is his favorite toy and I can't wait to get the complete set (REMOKING has the other first-responder trucks with a different paint job).
